Data Centre Build-Out — Financial Institution HQ
Jude Elswitch Limited delivered the turnkey design, supply, and build of a Tier III-equivalent data centre for a mid-tier commercial bank relocating its primary ICT operations to a new headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos. The facility provides N+1 redundancy across all critical systems and was designed to accommodate 120 server racks at full build-out, with Phase 1 serving 48 racks.
Our scope encompassed: raised-floor installation with 600 mm access void and airflow management tiles; structured cabling (Category 6A copper and OS2 fibre backbone) to full EIA/TIA-942 standard; precision air-conditioning with 4× 50kW in-row cooling units and a 100-tonne chiller supporting free-cooling in the harmattan season; 600 kVA UPS system with N+1 rectifier modules and 1-hour battery autonomy; 800 kVA diesel generator with 4-hour bulk fuel tank; fire suppression system (Novec 1230 clean agent); IP-CCTV, biometric access control, and DCIM software integration.
The data centre achieved a design PUE of 1.42 and received a CBN Data Centre Compliance assessment rating of 'Satisfactory'.
