Servicing and Maintenance of Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU) for Cathodic Protection System
Comprehensive inspection, servicing, maintenance, and performance testing of the Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU) supporting the Cathodic Protection (CP) system at Nembe Crude Oil Exploration facilities. The project involves assessing the operational condition of the TRU, inspecting electrical connections and components, diagnosing faults, cleaning and servicing internal assemblies, checking transformer and rectifier performance, and verifying AC input and DC output voltage and current. Activities also include inspecting protective devices, testing control and monitoring components, identifying and rectifying electrical abnormalities, and carrying out necessary repairs or component replacements to restore optimal functionality. Upon completion, the unit will undergo operational testing, output calibration where applicable, and performance verification to confirm its ability to supply the required DC current for effective corrosion protection of associated oil and gas infrastructure. Project Objectives: Ensure operational reliability, improve electrical efficiency, minimize equipment downtime, maintain effective cathodic protection, and extend the service life of the Transformer Rectifier Unit in accordance with applicable industry standards and safety requirements. Expected Deliverables: Fully serviced and operational TRU, inspection and maintenance records, electrical test results, identified fault reports, corrective maintenance documentation, and final performance verification report.
